Female Imagery in the Spanish Civil War

A documentary on how the factions in the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939) used female images in propaganda art. Presented at a conference on gender studies at Florida International University in November 2010, this documentary combines posters and songs (translated to English) from the Spanish Civil War to convey the extent to which images of women changed as their roles in the conflict were redefined and rearticulated.
